Azrael

Finished up Azrael this week while watching the Faces and Bases twitch stream. If you haven't checked this out it's worth a gander. I find having the weekly twitch stream helps me set aside time to get some painting done, and relives some of the tedium of just staring at a model for hours on end. Zenithal Priming

Just put the finishing touches on a couple of Raeks, my first attempt at zenithal priming. I also played with mixing colors, darkening my primary colors to provide a show, lowlight sort of look. Overall I think I like the results.

More paint on things.

Finally got around to putting the finishing touches on Lylyth2 today. Fairly happy with the way she turned out. I've been playing around with darker washes in an attempt to make shadows more evident.
 


I finished Orion last week but spaced adding him to the blog, I snapped a couple of pictures from the table last night though:




Next I'm going to put some finishing touches on my raptor squad before taking the dive into zenithal priming.

Reciprocators Redux

Finally finished my most recent painting project, a squad or Reciprocators for my Convergence army. This is my second squad so I thought I'd pull out a model from the original squad I painted for comparison. Being one of the first squads I painted, I remember just trying to get it done so that I could have painted models on the table. In hindsight I know I shouldn't have rushed it, having spent more time on the most recent models I feel a greater sense of completion, and am quite a bit happier with the end product.

Next on the painting block is Orion.
